Recovered Motorcycle in Várzea Grande
Várzea Grande, MT – A red XRE motorcycle, stolen in Cuiabá, was recovered by the Várzea Grande Municipal Guard (GMVG) on Monday night (16). The vehicle had been taken from a body shop on Beira Rio Avenue in Cuiabá around noon and was located during routine patrols.
Theft Captured on Camera
Security cameras recorded the theft: two men approached the establishment on a motorcycle, one remained on the vehicle while the other damaged the dashboard of the stolen motorcycle to start it (watch the video below).
Recovery During Patrol
Guards were patrolling near a shopping mall on Arthur Bernardes Avenue, an area known for parked motorcycles, when they noticed a motorcycle without a license plate. The chassis number was checked with the Integrated Center for Public Security Operations (CIOSP), confirming it was the stolen motorcycle from the capital.
The owner was contacted and arrived at the scene to sign the delivery form and reclaim the motorcycle.
